Appaloosa the latest western movie
Appaloosa, the movie that I was watching recently helped me to relive the good old days. Western movies usually features good guys, trigger happy, going on a rampage towards the fag end of the movie, pronouncing victory of good over evil. The protagonist shoots first (fastest trigger in west) rarely expressing any emotion or feeling. Well the latest movie talks about emotion and feelings. This movie makes me yonder about the movie, "Good, Bad and Ugly", clearly the best western movies of all time, many donkey years ago. Clint Eastwood at his prime.
One thing is sure, they do not make good old Western movies any more. We are surely going to miss this genre of movies. So saying, i would like to say Adios..Au Reviour.

Five point someone
Five point some one a book by Chetan Bhagat, is an excellent read. A book about 3 IIT's students who pass through IIT with an agenda to take life head on.
Asterix - The Series
Asterix and Obelix have a contemporary touch and feel, even though the series of books written by Uderzo and Goscinny are many a decades ago.
Sometimes the very book that you read growing up makes you cuddle up too, when you are having a stressful day. How many of us still watch Tom and Jerry. These sitcom cartoon shows still remain a favorite for the generation X and many more generations to go. Generation Youngistan are you listening?

Digitized book read directly to brain
Recently I was watching a movie in the sitcom where a visually challenged person opts to go through a painful surgery to allow him to view again. Basically the movie figures a detailed procedure where an eyeglass is fixed to an antenna that leads to a chip implanted into the brain.
Once the operation is done, the person can see for the first time. An excellent movie. What this movie triggered in me was, can we have a similar chip so as to download digitized book into our brain. Imagine, a.k.a the matrix style learning new language, new marital arts in just seconds. Just plug and play a disk having the instructions and your body learns the entire content.
Wish we were living in future were we could just load the latest novels and magazine into our brain directly through receptors.
Imagine.....................the possibility.

Anything for you Maam
Train travel is exciting. It is like going back to nature. You get an opportunity to be rocked to sleep in a moving train. However some journey requires one to pick up a good book to read. I happened to pick up one of the recent book titled "Anything for your Maam", written by an IIT Graduate, Tushar Raheja. An excellent read, modeled on "PG Wodehouse" - Jeeves and Wooster style. Hats off to the author for being so contemporary and also written in true style of by-gone era. Excellent read.. If you get time, please pick up this book and have a good read...
